The streets of New York City were full of energy, optimism and determination as a dedicated group of runners prepared to kick off their race to the finish at the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon.

Our runners were a diverse mix of people drawn to our cause to improve quality of life for hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors. This year’s team members included Midelgie, a first-time marathon runner, Erin, a RAWF board member and pituitary brain tumor survivor, and Cecilia, a biotech physician at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, who has spent the last six years advancing care for people living with hypothalamic obesity and helping move us closer to an effective treatment. Rounding out the team was Amy, the executive director of RAWF, and Faith, who has worked with craniopharyngioma survivor Alex for the past 3 years.

Each of these incredible women bought their dedication and spirit across the finish line and helped raise over $17,000 to support our work.

RAWF is deeply grateful to every runner, donor, and supporter who helped make this moment possible. Your encouragement and generosity are helping us continue our work to ensure survivors have the care, resources, and support they need to thrive long after treatment ends.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

This race is over, and we are getting ready for the next one! If you are interested in running with us, consider joining us for the Philadelphia Marathon Series from November 20-22, 2026. To learn more about running with Team RAWF in Philadelphia, email development@rawoodfoundation.org
