Jason Burris brings a unique perspective and wealth of experience to the Raymond A. Wood Foundation. As a craniopharyngioma brain tumor survivor, Jason understands the challenges and triumphs that come with navigating life after diagnosis. His personal journey fuels his dedication to supporting others in similar circumstances.
Jason has a strong background in community support and advocacy. He has volunteered with the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, where he hosted support groups and developed resources for families navigating the complexities of a brain tumor diagnosis. His academic achievements include earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in photography and minors in general psychology and business, equipping him with a well-rounded skill set to connect with and support survivors and caregivers.
At the Raymond A. Wood Foundation, Jason serves as the moderator for the Survivor Support Group and Teen Support Group. In these roles, he fosters meaningful connections, provides guidance, and creates a safe space for survivors and their families to share their experiences and find community.
