In 2022, Erin was diagnosed with a pituitary macroadenoma. She had lost her peripheral vision and suffered from chronic headaches. Her road to diagnosis was long, and not pinpointed until her vision was impacted. After a successful transsphenoidal surgery, Erin’s vision was restored. Erin feels very fortunate that her situation resolved with surgery, and was drawn to the Raymond A. Wood Foundation by a desire to help others with pituitary related tumors.
Erin is a Pennyslvania native and currently lives in Pittsburgh with her family. She enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and spending time with her family and her dogs. She currently serves on the Patient and Family Advocacy Council for Allegheny General Hospital where she had her surgery.
