The Raymond A. Wood Foundation (RAWF) Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of individuals who bring lived experience to inform and guide the foundation’s work across research, advocacy, and community engagement.
PAC members serve as trusted advisors, ensuring that all initiatives reflect the real-world needs, challenges, and priorities of hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
PAC members are expected to:
- Participate in quarterly virtual meetings and occasional working groups
- Provide feedback on research initiatives, surveys, and patient-facing materials
- Share lived experiences to inform programs and advocacy efforts
- Review educational content to ensure clarity, accessibility, and relevance
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment
- Serve as community representatives when appropriate
Who is Eligible
To ensure diverse and inclusive perspectives, RAWF is actively seeking PAC members who reflect a wide range of lived experiences, including:
- Adult-diagnosed survivors
- Childhood-diagnosed survivors
- Individuals with long-term survivorship experience
- Caregivers and family members
- Geographic diversity (U.S. and international representation)
Qualifications
- Lived experience as a hypothalamic-pituitary/craniopharyngioma brain tumor survivor or caregiver
- Willingness to share experiences in a thoughtful and constructive way
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings
- Interest in improving outcomes for the broader patient community
No prior advisory or professional experience is required.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 2–4 hours per quarter
- Optional opportunities for additional engagement based on interest and availability
Compensation
This is a volunteer role. While there is no financial compensation, PAC members gain the opportunity to:
