Position Summary: The Raymond A. Wood Foundation (RAWF) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Outreach Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week). This role is essential in supporting our mission to serve the community of rare brain tumor survivors and their caregivers. The Outreach Coordinator will focus on social media interactions, community engagement, and program outreach to ensure consistent communication and meaningful connections with our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Management:
    • Engage with audiences on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and within relevant community groups.
    • Share and curate content from RAWF and other reliable sources to support caregivers and survivors.
    • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and trends, ensuring timely and thoughtful responses.
  2. Content Sharing and Engagement:
    • Disseminate educational and supportive materials to the community.
    • Actively participate in discussions and initiatives to raise awareness of RAWF’s programs and resources.
  3. Program Support:
    • Coordinate outreach efforts for families in the Handheld Blood Analyzer Program, ensuring forms are received and applications are current.
    • Serve as a point of contact for program participants, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
  4. Meeting Coordination:
    • Schedule and organize meetings, including virtual and in-person events.
    • Prepare agendas and support follow-up communications as needed.
  5. Community Engagement and Awareness:
    • Foster relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations to promote RAWF’s mission.
    • Represent RAWF in community events and initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with the needs and experiences of caregivers and survivors is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week.

  • Remote
