Community, philanthropy, talent and dedication came together for an incredible night at the annual DC’s Dancing Stars Gala!
Since the DC Dancing Stars Gala was founded 8 years ago, the event has contributed a total of over $2.1 million to local charities. This year’s event raised funds in support of several foundations, including the Raymond A. Wood Foundation, Blood Cancer United, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, The Jennifer Bush-Lawson Foundation, Clemson University Foundation, and Operation Renewed Hope Foundation.
The glamourous black-tie affair was held on October 25th at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, featuring a series of performances by local celebrities, corporate dancers, and alumni of the event, all bringing their dedication and talent to support charitable causes close to their hearts.
This year, Mike Brown and Adriana Fonseca danced in support of the Raymond A. Wood Foundation. Adriana, a pediatric oncologist, placed 3rd in the celebrity competition. Mike was inspired to join the competition in honor of his great-niece Maddie, who bravely faced a rare brain tumor at just three years old. He was honored to win first place in the corporate competition and take home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy!
We are so grateful to Mike and Adriana for their hard work, dedication, and inspiration!
