Wood Foundation en collaboration avec Giner, Inc. et l'h\u00f4pital pour enfants de Philadelphie. Ensemble, ils sont \u00e0 la t\u00eate du d\u00e9veloppement d'un lecteur de sodium \u00e0 domicile qui promet de r\u00e9volutionner la fa\u00e7on dont les niveaux de sodium dans le sang sont contr\u00f4l\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La science derri\u00e8re l'innovation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Giner, Inc. a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des progr\u00e8s remarquables dans le cadre du programme SBIR NIH\/NIDDK Phase I. Elle a exploit\u00e9 la puissance de sa nouvelle technologie d'\u00e9lectrode ionique s\u00e9lective \u00e0 contact solide (SC-ISE) pour cr\u00e9er un test de mesure du sodium sanguin aux capacit\u00e9s impressionnantes. Voici quelques-unes des principales r\u00e9alisations :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Courbes d'\u00e9talonnage pr\u00e9cises : L'\u00e9quipe de Giner a obtenu des courbes d'\u00e9talonnage nernstiennes reproductibles dans la solution saline tamponn\u00e9e au phosphate (PBS) et dans le plasma, avec une sensibilit\u00e9 extraordinaire de moins de 5 mM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme : La technologie d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une d\u00e9gradation minimale des performances sur une p\u00e9riode de trois mois, ce qui garantit la fiabilit\u00e9 et la pr\u00e9cision de l'utilisation \u00e0 long terme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pr\u00e9cision impressionnante : Avec une pr\u00e9cision remarquable de 4 mM dans le plasma, les \u00e9chantillons de comp\u00e9tence CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) et le sang total, les r\u00e9sultats du test sont comparables \u00e0 ceux des analyseurs de sang cliniques de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Des innovations qui ouvrent la voie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour am\u00e9liorer encore la sensibilit\u00e9 et la stabilit\u00e9 de la bandelette de test, Giner a introduit une \u00e9lectrode s\u00e9lective d'ions imprim\u00e9e en 3D, un d\u00e9veloppement r\u00e9volutionnaire qui promet d'amener la technologie \u00e0 de nouveaux sommets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prochaines \u00e9tapes : Un aper\u00e7u de l'avenir<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque Giner passera \u00e0 la phase II du programme des NIH (actuellement en cours d'examen), l'accent sera mis sur la cr\u00e9ation d'un prototype de syst\u00e8me d'essai garantissant une mesure rapide, pr\u00e9cise et extr\u00eamement sensible des taux de sodium dans le sang. Ce prototype sera ensuite soumis \u00e0 des tests d'utilisation rigoureux et \u00e0 une validation pr\u00e9clinique \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital pour enfants de Philadelphie (CHOP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reconnaissant le soutien crucial de la Fondation Raymond A. Wood, Giner s'est fix\u00e9 deux objectifs principaux au cours de cette p\u00e9riode int\u00e9rimaire :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Des tests suppl\u00e9mentaires pour v\u00e9rifier la signification statistique : Bien que les r\u00e9sultats de la phase I soient prometteurs, Giner reconna\u00eet l'importance d'une validation statistique solide. Cette phase n\u00e9cessitera des mat\u00e9riaux suppl\u00e9mentaires pour la fabrication d'\u00e9lectrodes s\u00e9lectives d'ions (ISE), ainsi que davantage de cartouches i-STAT pour l'\u00e9talonnage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Am\u00e9lioration du d\u00e9veloppement de la puce du capteur : En transf\u00e9rant le processus d'impression 3D des \u00e9lectrodes en interne, Giner vise \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les it\u00e9rations et \u00e0 mieux contr\u00f4ler la proc\u00e9dure de fabrication de l'ISE. Cette initiative implique l'acquisition de filaments\/mat\u00e9riaux d'imprimante 3D et l'affectation de temps \u00e0 la mise au point d'une proc\u00e9dure permettant de produire r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des capteurs de haute qualit\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un pas vers la publication et le prototypage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L'engagement de Giner en faveur de la transparence et de la rigueur scientifique se manifeste par la recherche de donn\u00e9es suppl\u00e9mentaires en vue d'une publication pr\u00e9vue dans une revue \u00e0 comit\u00e9 de lecture. Wood Foundation, Giner Inc. et leurs partenaires marquent une avanc\u00e9e significative dans la prise en charge du diab\u00e8te insipide.
