Cela dit, l'ablation de la tumeur de Zakky n'\u00e9tait pas sans risque et il a subi un l\u00e9ger accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral et des dommages c\u00e9r\u00e9braux suppl\u00e9mentaires qui ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 d'autres probl\u00e8mes m\u00e9dicaux qu'il a d\u00fb endurer. Il a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des crises partielles que nous avons heureusement r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler avec des m\u00e9dicaments. Apr\u00e8s l'ablation, il a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9 du sodium appel\u00e9e \"SIADH\" (syndrome de s\u00e9cr\u00e9tion inappropri\u00e9e de l'hormone antidiur\u00e9tique) qui nous a oblig\u00e9s \u00e0 restreindre la quantit\u00e9 de liquide qu'il pouvait absorber pour maintenir son taux de sodium stable. Puis, environ un an plus tard, son corps est pass\u00e9 du SIADH au diab\u00e8te insipide (DI), o\u00f9 il n'\u00e9tait pas capable de retenir les liquides pour maintenir son taux de sodium stable.  Ces deux probl\u00e8mes de sodium n\u00e9cessitent des contr\u00f4les continus du taux de sodium, que nous avons d\u00fb effectuer plusieurs fois par semaine ou une fois par mois, en fonction du niveau de stabilit\u00e9 chez son p\u00e9diatre ou \u00e0 la clinique de traitement du cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">S'occuper d'un enfant m\u00e9dicalement fragile, malvoyant avec des retards globaux et non ambulatoire \u00e0 la maison serait impossible sans les services de soins infirmiers \u00e0 domicile et les nombreux \u00e9quipements m\u00e9dicaux \u00e0 domicile qui nous aident.   Nous sommes tr\u00e8s reconnaissants de toute l'aide que nous recevons pour garder notre Zakky en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et stable \u00e0 la maison avec nous.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><em>L'endocrinologue de Zakky a contact\u00e9 la Fondation Raymond A. Wood et a d\u00e9crit Zakky comme un charmant enfant de 7 ans qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 admis \u00e0 deux reprises au cours du dernier mois pour une hyponatr\u00e9mie grave mettant sa vie en danger (taux de sodium aussi bas que 120 mmol\/L) qui a provoqu\u00e9 des convulsions et n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 une prise en charge en soins intensifs. Zakky Gheith a re\u00e7u la semaine derni\u00e8re un analyseur de sang pour aider sa famille \u00e0 g\u00e9rer son diab\u00e8te insipide.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Pour soutenir cette initiative et d'autres visant \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les effets secondaires des tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, veuillez soutenir la Fondation Raymond A.
