Cette r\u00e9union s'inscrit dans une tradition lanc\u00e9e il y a 15 ans par le professeur Hermann Muller en r\u00e9ponse aux appels de la communaut\u00e9 des patients en faveur d'une plus grande collaboration entre experts et d'un partage des d\u00e9veloppements cliniques et de la recherche dans le domaine des soins du CP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le cours a r\u00e9uni des leaders mondiaux de la neurochirurgie, de l'endocrinologie, de la radio-oncologie et de la recherche translationnelle. Les discussions ont port\u00e9 sur l'innovation chirurgicale, les progr\u00e8s de l'imagerie et les nouvelles strat\u00e9gies de traitement de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 hypothalamique et d'autres effets \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les points forts sont les suivants :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Approches chirurgicales et imagerie<\/strong>: Les docteurs Jeff Wisoff et Lei Cao ont soulign\u00e9 l'importance de l'expertise chirurgicale et des techniques d'imagerie avanc\u00e9es pour pr\u00e9server l'hypothalamus. Le Dr Jay Storm et le Dr Cui ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des strat\u00e9gies de traitement pour l'ACP kystique et ont discut\u00e9 des risques associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la chirurgie endoscopique.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Radioth\u00e9rapie<\/strong>: Le Dr Tom Merchant a soulign\u00e9 le potentiel de la protonth\u00e9rapie \u00e0 pr\u00e9server les fonctions cognitives et a insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de mieux comprendre et \u00e9valuer les effets li\u00e9s aux rayonnements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recherche innovante<\/strong>: Les sujets abord\u00e9s allaient des mod\u00e8les organo\u00efdes de tumeurs en 3D (Dr. Laurens Verweij) aux mod\u00e8les de souris g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9es (Dr. JP Martinez-Barbera), offrant l'espoir d'un diagnostic plus pr\u00e9coce et d'un d\u00e9veloppement de traitements cibl\u00e9s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration clinique<\/strong>: Des repr\u00e9sentants des consortiums CONNECT, PNOC\/CBTN et ATPC ont fait part des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d'essais et de partage de donn\u00e9es visant \u00e0 faire progresser les th\u00e9rapies de la PC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 hypothalamique et qualit\u00e9 de vie<\/strong>: Le Dr Sanne Hulsman a plaid\u00e9 en faveur d'une d\u00e9finition plus large du syndrome hypothalamique, tandis que les Dr Megan Kelsey et Ally Shapiro ont fait part des r\u00e9sultats des essais cliniques et de la recherche comportementale. Le Dr Christina Chambers a soulign\u00e9 les impacts endocriniens \u00e0 long terme et les avantages de la th\u00e9rapie par l'hormone de croissance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Donn\u00e9es centr\u00e9es sur le patient<\/strong>: Repr\u00e9sentant la Fondation Raymond A. Wood, le Dr Nathalie Kayadjanian a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le registre mondial des patients comme un outil essentiel pour recueillir les exp\u00e9riences des patients et informer la recherche future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le cours s'est conclu par des groupes de travail qui ont d\u00e9fini les prochaines \u00e9tapes : \u00e9tablir des centres d'excellence, am\u00e9liorer la conception des essais translationnels avec des param\u00e8tres centr\u00e9s sur le patient et affiner les mod\u00e8les pr\u00e9cliniques pour mieux refl\u00e9ter la biologie des tumeurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Fondation Raymond A. Wood est fi\u00e8re de faire partie d'un mouvement mondial qui stimule l'innovation dans les soins de la PC.
