Merci, Daniel, d'avoir partag\u00e9 votre histoire !<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Les sports de comp\u00e9tition ont toujours occup\u00e9 une place importante dans ma vie. J'\u00e9tais \u00e0 l'entra\u00eenement de natation un matin de l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2014, j'avais 14 ans. J'avais connu des \u00e9pisodes d'euphorie extr\u00eame environ deux fois par jour pendant plusieurs mois, j'ai d\u00e9couvert plus tard que ces \u00e9pisodes \u00e9taient des crises d'aura. Mais ce matin-l\u00e0, la crise d'aura \u00e9tait extr\u00eamement intense. La derni\u00e8re chose dont je me souvienne, c'est d'\u00eatre dans les vestiaires de l'\u00e9quipe de natation. Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9 d'urgence \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital, j'ai pass\u00e9 un scanner c\u00e9r\u00e9bral et on a d\u00e9couvert que j'avais une tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale dans le lobe temporal ant\u00e9rieur droit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9couverte de la tumeur, l'op\u00e9ration a \u00e9t\u00e9 fix\u00e9e \u00e0 une semaine de ce jour. J'\u00e9tais absolument terrifi\u00e9e \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e de l'op\u00e9ration, surtout parce que je risquais de ne plus jamais \u00eatre la m\u00eame. J'\u00e9tais une adolescente extr\u00eamement sociable et sportive, et cette situation a compl\u00e8tement chang\u00e9 ma vie. Je ne savais pas si j'allais \u00eatre la m\u00eame apr\u00e8s l'op\u00e9ration, ni si je pourrais \u00e0 nouveau pratiquer les sports que j'aimais.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Apr\u00e8s l'op\u00e9ration, je suis rest\u00e9e alit\u00e9e pendant trois mois. J'ai b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d'un syst\u00e8me de soutien extraordinaire et mes amis et ma famille ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 mes c\u00f4t\u00e9s \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape. Le processus de r\u00e9tablissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement ennuyeux et terrifiant, car je suis rest\u00e9e allong\u00e9e pendant des mois, avec de nombreuses questions sans r\u00e9ponse. Depuis mon op\u00e9ration \u00e0 l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2014, j'ai termin\u00e9 ma deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e dans un lyc\u00e9e pr\u00e8s de Chicago, puis j'ai d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 Baltimore pour terminer ma premi\u00e8re et ma derni\u00e8re ann\u00e9e. La partie la plus difficile du d\u00e9m\u00e9nagement en tant qu'adolescente a \u00e9t\u00e9 de quitter mon syst\u00e8me de soutien qui m'a aid\u00e9e \u00e0 traverser mon op\u00e9ration. Une fois arriv\u00e9e dans le Maryland, je suis devenue capitaine de l'\u00e9quipe de natation de mon lyc\u00e9e et je suis devenue nageuse d'\u00c9tat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Dans l'ensemble, je suis reconnaissante de mon exp\u00e9rience de la tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale, car peu de gens ont eu l'occasion de grandir de cette mani\u00e8re. Tout au long de mon parcours, j'ai d\u00e9couvert et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des choses sur la vie, l'\u00e9tat d'esprit et l'essence de la pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance. Aujourd'hui, je suis en train de lancer une entreprise sociale appel\u00e9e New fin, une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 responsabilit\u00e9 limit\u00e9e \u00e0 but non lucratif qui vise \u00e0 aider les adolescents qui se remettent d'une op\u00e9ration du cerveau \u00e0 surmonter les aspects mentaux et spirituels de leur maladie. J'aurais aim\u00e9 rencontrer quelqu'un qui avait v\u00e9cu l'exp\u00e9rience d'une tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale chez un adolescent et qui avait fait des choses productives de sa vie.
