Sa tumeur a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9e par craniotomie \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital Childrens Mercy de Kansas City. Molly souffre de diab\u00e8te insipide (DI), d'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 hypothalamique (HO), d'insuffisance surr\u00e9nale (AI) et est malvoyante. R\u00e9cemment, on lui a diagnostiqu\u00e9 une vascularite pulmonaire. Malheureusement, les parties du cerveau touch\u00e9es par le traitement de cette tumeur contr\u00f4lent la sant\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du reste du corps, ce qui peut rendre les patients comme Molly vuln\u00e9rables \u00e0 d'autres maladies.<\/p>\n<p>L'objectif principal de Molly est d'\u00eatre ind\u00e9pendante et elle progresse bien vers cet objectif. Elle suit actuellement un programme de transition \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole pour aveugles du Kansas, \u00e0 un peu plus de 6,5 heures de chez elle. Ce programme pr\u00e9pare les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 une vie autonome. Elle suit \u00e9galement des cours au Johnson County Community College.<\/p>\n<p>\"Ce dispositif aidera grandement Molly \u00e0 atteindre son objectif d'ind\u00e9pendance et \u00e0 g\u00e9rer ses propres soins de sant\u00e9\", d\u00e9clare Cindy, la m\u00e8re de Molly. \"Compte tenu de la distance qui la s\u00e9pare de son domicile, cet appareil nous soulagera \u00e9galement, son p\u00e8re et moi, puisqu'elle pourra surveiller son taux de sodium sans avoir \u00e0 se rendre aux urgences, au cabinet du m\u00e9decin ou au laboratoire.<\/p>\n<p>Selon Cindy, bien que Molly soit confront\u00e9e \u00e0 de nombreux d\u00e9fis, elle n'abandonne jamais et garde une attitude positive malgr\u00e9 tout.
