Con eso dicho, la citorreducci\u00f3n tumoral de Zakky no estuvo exenta de riesgos y sufri\u00f3 un derrame cerebral leve y da\u00f1o cerebral adicional que cre\u00f3 otros problemas m\u00e9dicos que tuvo que soportar. Desarroll\u00f3 convulsiones parciales que, afortunadamente, hemos conseguido controlar con medicaci\u00f3n. Tras la citorreducci\u00f3n, desarroll\u00f3 una irregularidad del sodio denominada \"SIADH\" (s\u00edndrome de secreci\u00f3n inadecuada de hormona antidiur\u00e9tica), por la que tuvimos que restringir la cantidad de l\u00edquido que pod\u00eda ingerir para mantener estable su nivel de sodio. Aproximadamente un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, su cuerpo pas\u00f3 de SIADH a diabetes ins\u00edpida (DI), en la que no era capaz de retener l\u00edquidos para mantener estable su nivel de sodio.  Ambos problemas de sodio requieren controles continuos del nivel de sodio, que hemos tenido que hacer desde varias veces a la semana hasta una vez al mes dependiendo de su nivel de estabilidad en su pediatra o cl\u00ednica de tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Cuidar en casa a un ni\u00f1o fr\u00e1gil desde el punto de vista m\u00e9dico, con discapacidad visual, retraso global y que no camina, ser\u00eda imposible si no fuera por los servicios de enfermer\u00eda a domicilio y los m\u00faltiples equipos m\u00e9dicos a domicilio que nos ayudan.   Estamos muy agradecidos por toda la ayuda que recibimos para mantener a nuestro Zakky seguro y estable en casa con nosotros.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><em>El endocrin\u00f3logo de Zakky se puso en contacto con la Fundaci\u00f3n Raymond A. Wood y describi\u00f3 a Zakky como un ni\u00f1o encantador de 7 a\u00f1os que hab\u00eda tenido dos ingresos en el \u00faltimo mes por hiponatremia grave potencialmente mortal (sodio tan bajo como 120 mmol\/L) que provoc\u00f3 convulsiones y cuidados intensivos. Zakky Gheith recibi\u00f3 la semana pasada un analizador de sangre para ayudar a su familia a controlar su diabetes ins\u00edpida.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Para apoyar esta y otras iniciativas destinadas a mitigar los efectos secundarios de los tumores cerebrales, apoye a la Fundaci\u00f3n Raymond A.
