Esta afecci\u00f3n puede significar hambre incontrolable y aumento de peso en los pacientes por da\u00f1os en el hipot\u00e1lamo, que es el centro de control de nuestra hambre y sed. Cuando este mecanismo est\u00e1 da\u00f1ado, el cuerpo puede ser enga\u00f1ado para que entre en modo de inanici\u00f3n, haciendo que el paciente est\u00e9 constantemente hambriento mientras el cuerpo almacena calor\u00edas en forma de grasa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">La enfermedad es rara y muchos estudios sugieren que no puede tratarse, lo que deja a pacientes y familiares desesperanzados en busca de respuestas, entre ellos Marci Serota.
