Llev\u00e1bamos mucho tiempo luchando para controlar eficazmente su diabetes ins\u00edpida y el analizador nos cambi\u00f3 la vida. Sab\u00edamos que otros necesitaban tener acceso a este dispositivo, as\u00ed que nos propusimos eliminar las barreras para conseguirlos. Tras dirigir la fundaci\u00f3n de forma paralela de 2017 a 2020, dej\u00e9 mi carrera y mis ingresos como directora creativa en una empresa de desarrollo web para convertirme en la directora ejecutiva de RAWF, que ha sido un proyecto de pasi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Yo, como muchos otros cuidadores de un superviviente de un tumor cerebral, navego por los d\u00edas buenos y malos de mi hijo y defiendo sus necesidades constantemente. Tal vez, como usted, paso horas resolviendo los problemas de nuestro seguro m\u00e9dico, acudiendo a uno u otro especialista, trabajando para asegurarme de que recibe una educaci\u00f3n acorde con sus capacidades, intentando encontrar medicamentos, terapias o herramientas que le ayuden a mejorar su vida. Algunos d\u00edas es un verdadero reto mantenerlo todo en orden, pero hacer este trabajo me consuela un poco por lo que Alex ha pasado y pasa a diario.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, para poder seguir avanzando, necesito tu ayuda. Las fundaciones de enfermedades raras m\u00e1s eficaces son las que nacen del deseo de desarrollar y mejorar los tratamientos, formadas por un ej\u00e9rcito de afectados por la enfermedad: padres, cuidadores, familiares, c\u00f3nyuges y supervivientes.<\/p>\n<p>La semana pasada presentamos una oportunidad de afiliaci\u00f3n. Esta es la forma en que podemos construir nuestro ej\u00e9rcito: un grupo unido para hacer frente a los grandes problemas y conseguir mejores tratamientos tanto para los tumores como para los efectos a largo plazo.<\/p>\n<p>Helen Keller dijo una vez: \"Solos podemos hacer tan poco; juntos podemos hacer tanto\".
